2019 Walter Scott Chardonnay Rock Salt

Rock Salt is in reference to a Chardonnay blend we made last year for our dear friend Brian McClintic’s Viticole Wine Club. He nicknamed his cuvee Salt Crunch because of its focused salinity and minerality. We all fell in love with the name as well as the wine and found ourselves craving those same salty, crunchy characteristics. Rock Salt is stylistically in line with the mineral drive and crunchy fruit of its cousin, Brian’s Salt Crunch.

The 2019 Rock Salt is a blend of Freedom Hill, Justice, Seven Springs and Koosah. This wine is taught, fresh, and has lots of flinty minerality. The fruit profile is bursting with lemon zest, grapefruit, and of course a salty crunch to finish.
